Chilly start to holiday week, rain returns midweek
An area of low pressure moving northeast along the I-71 corridor brought a second wet, chilly day late November day. Rainfall totals ranged upwards of a half-inch, with the heavier amounts across northwest Ohio, where snow has mixed in at times. Three and a half inches fell at Wauseon.
Behind this system, dry, blustery weather will prevail as high pressure drops southeast from Canada, with considerable cloud cover lingering Monday, keeping high temperatures in the chilly low 40s.
A southwesterly flow will develop, once the high drifts east Tuesday, introducing enough moisture for clouds to thicken, with a sprinkle possible in the northwest and cool afternoon readings in the mid-40s.
A developing storm east of the Rockies will move toward the Ohio Valley Wednesday, bringing another round of rain, with a few embedded thunderstorms, tapering off early Thanksgiving morning,
The weather should clear on the holiday and temperatures will be seasonal, with highs in the 50s. Dry weather is expected Friday and most of Saturday, before another system approaches with rain late in the holiday weekend.
