FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Happy Wednesday!
We start the day cloudy, with a few flurries and light snow showers working through parts of the region, mainly south of I-70. That clears up by mid-morning, then clouds quickly break, giving way to lots of sunshine by this afternoon. Expect highs in the middle 40s, with just a light wind.
Clouds then build tonight, with mainly cloudy conditions on tap for Thursday. We'll be fairly breezy Thursday, and our next cold front arrives. This brings a few light and spotty showers to the region, between about 11 AM and 3 PM. Not everybody will see these showers, they will be fairly quick moving and very scattered, and mainly sticking along and north of I-70.
For Friday, we start the day dry, with mainly cloudy conditions, and colder temperatures. Highs only reach the upper 30s during the afternoon. Our next system then moves in, bringing the chance for a wintry mix and some snow showers Friday night and into early Saturday morning.
That leaves us with a few flurries Saturday morning, then we'll see gradual clearing the rest of the day. Expect highs in the middle 30s Saturday, with a breeze.
That breeze sticks around most of the weekend, but clouds move out, giving way to mainly clear skies Sunday. Highs warm back closer to normal, in the lower 40s for Sunday.
