Road closures, parking and public transit for Red, White & BOOM!
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - Over 400,000 people are expected to come Downtown for the biggest fireworks show in the Midwest: Red, White & BOOM! and there will be several road closures and parking options for those making their way to Downtown.
Below is everything you need to know to help navigate around Downtown, finding the best parking spots and how to get to your destination with COTA.
Road closures for BOOM!
Now through Friday, July 4
● Washington Boulevard from Broad Street to Main Street
Tuesday, July 1, from 9 a.m. through Friday, July 4 at TBD
● Civic Center Drive from Broad Street to Main Street
Wednesday, July 2, from 2 p.m. through Friday, July 4 at 6 a.m.
● Marconi Boulevard from Long Street to Broad Street
● North curb lane of Broad Street from Cumberland Trail marker to Belle Street
Thursday, July 3, from 2 p.m. through 7 p.m., for parade formation
● Main Street from 2nd Street to River
● Rich from the river to McDowell
● Starling Street from Rich Street to Town Street
● Belle Street from Rich Street to Town Street
● Lucas Street from Rich Street to Town Street
● Civic Center Drive from Mound Street to Main Street

Parking options for BOOM!
It's recommended to book parking ahead of time if you plan on heading downtown. Below is a list of spots you can reserve spots.
Handicapped parking is available at the north side from Second Street from Mound Street to Civic Center Drive and Gay Street between High and Front Streets.
Public transit
Zoom to Boom! with COTA this year. The buses will run every 10 to 30 minutes for Red, White & BOOM! with lineups at 10 p.m., 11 p.m. and midnight. Prices for adults are $2, $1 for kids 5-12 years old and children under 4 are free. You can also ride any fixed-route line from a transit stop near you or from a Park and Ride location.
