Fast food chain Culver’s to open in Hamilton Quarter this fall
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A fast food chain known for its burgers and frozen custard will soon open a location in the Albany Commons neighborhood near Gahanna and New Albany.
City permits show a Culver’s is set to open at 6000 N. Hamilton Road, which was formerly an undeveloped lot in the Hamilton Quarter shopping center.
Meyer Foods Management applied for the permits to construct the new Culver’s. The franchise management company operates over 30 Culver's restaurants across Indiana, Ohio and Georgia, according to its website.
Bob Goins, a senior director of construction with Meyer Foods Management, told NBC4 that the new fast food joint will open in late October.
Culver’s is known for its “ButterBurgers,” which feature buns brushed with butter and fresh beef. The chain also offers frozen custard, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, seafood, salad and soups. Sides such as French fries, onion rings and cheese curds are on the menu as well.
Culver's plans to expand with a total of 55 new restaurants in the United States in 2025, according to its annual franchise disclosure agreement. The chain opened 53 locations last year.
Culver’s was founded in Sauk City, Wisconsin, in 1984. The chain has since spread to over 1,000 eateries across 26 states, a majority of which are franchises. Culver’s has 27 locations in Ohio, according to its website.
