Reynoldsburg approves first phases of 664-unit residential project
REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (WCMH) – Reynoldsburg City Council has given the green light to the first phases of a 664-unit townhome and apartment development.
On July 15, the council unanimously approved the two initial phases of a plan to construct a residential development called Summit Crossing, which will sit on the west side of Summit Road, north of East Main Street and south of Refugee Road.
The project will boast a total of 280 townhomes and 284 apartments on a 69-acre site. The first two phases will feature a total of 82 townhomes across 30 acres, with the first phase consisting of 24 units, and the second consisting of 58 units.
M/I Homes will develop the townhomes and Metro Development will build the apartments. Both companies are based in Columbus. The property, which was annexed into Reynoldsburg from Etna Township last year, is currently used for agricultural purposes, according to city documents.
Summit Crossing will feature two- and three-story townhomes, with each building including four or six units. The development will contain 16 apartment buildings with three stories, featuring a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
Both the townhomes and apartments will have their own clubhouse and pool. The development will also feature other amenities such as a playground, dog park and new public park.
Summit Crossing is being developed in four phases; construction on the first phase is expected to begin by the end of the year.
