Potbelly Sandwich Shop to open first Marysville location
MARYSVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) – A restaurant group will soon launch its latest Potbelly Sandwich Shop location in Marysville, and plans to open over a dozen more in central Ohio.
The Marysville eatery is set to open in a new development coming to 755 Coleman’s Crossing Boulevard in late 2025, according to a news release. The Columbus-based commercial real estate firm OLIO Development Group began construction on the three-unit retail space, situated on 1.38 acres, on Wednesday. The other two storefronts are available for lease.
Florida-based Royal Restaurant Group will run the Marysville Potbelly, and plans to open 14 more locations in the Columbus area in the coming years, according to a news release. The company owns six other Potbelly locations in the Columbus market – including those in Polaris, Westerville and the University District – and operates dozens of Burger Kings nationwide.
Potbelly Sandwich Shop serves a variety of hot and cold subs, along with salads, soup, mac and cheese, chips, cookies and milkshakes. The Marysville location will feature a drive-thru and “pickup-friendly features,” according to the restaurant group.
“This Marysville location marks an exciting step in growing Potbelly’s presence across Ohio,” said Robert Negron, Chief Operating Officer of Royal Restaurant Group. “We’ve designed this shop to fit the way people want to dine today, with quick, easy pickup options, while still delivering the cozy, neighborhood Potbelly-vibe fans have come to love.”
Potbelly Sandwich Shop debuted in Chicago in 1977, and has since expanded to more than 425 shops across the United States, including 19 in Ohio.
