List: Summer festivals, events across central Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - As the summer season is winding down, central Ohio still has a variety of festivals to enjoy at several local parks and outdoor areas. Below is a list of events and activities to check out through September.

Festival Latino

Aug. 9-10 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Genoa Park

• This family-friendly festival is returning to Columbus for another year of activities, food, fashion, art, music and more. The event is free and open to all ages.

CBUS Soul Fest

Aug. 15-16 from 4 to 10 p.m., Bicentennial Park

• An annual festival celebrating music, food and more is back in August. CBUS Soul Fest is free and open for all. The two-day event will feature a full lineup of live music and performances, food trucks and more.

Columbus Food Truck Festival

Aug. 16-17, Franklin County Fairgrounds

• Calling all foodies! The 14th annual Columbus Food Truck Festival in Hilliard is promising a wide range of delicious food, music and more to try out. Presale tickets are $5 and $10 at the event. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Aug. 16 and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Columbus Air Show

Aug. 22-24, Rickenbacker International Airport

• Check out performances in the sky and family-friendly activities at the annual air show. Some of this year's lineup of attractions and performers include the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, a display of classic military and civilian aircraft, Kidz Zone, flight experiences and more. Tickets are on sale now.

Columbus Greek Festival

Aug. 29 through Sept. 1, Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral

• This year's event will feature a wide variety of Greek dishes from gyros and lamb chops, to pastries like baklava, macaroons and rice pudding. The festival will also feature live entertainment from dancers and singers, cathedral tours and more. Admission is free and open for all ages. Hours for the fest are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Aug. 29 and 30, noon to 11 p.m. on Aug. 31 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 1.

Obetz Zucchinifest

Aug. 29-Sept. 1, Fortress Obetz

• The annual event celebrating zucchini is returning for another year full of food, entertainment and rides. The event will feature a variety of zucchini dishes and other festival favorites. Admission is free and no tickets are required.

Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival

Sept. 1, Northam Park

• More than 15,000 people are expected to visit Upper Arlington for several festival activities. Over 120 artists will be at the event to show off their work from paintings, jewelry, sculptures and more. Visitors can also choose bites from food trucks, participate in art activities and enjoy live entertainment.

Columbus Comedy Festival

Sept. 4-7

• The festival full of comedy acts is coming back for its second year. Watch several comedic acts and shows at several venues across Columbus and central Ohio. Tickets are on sale now.
