Three-year-old killed in shooting on Southeast Side of Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A 3-year-old was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died after a shooting Monday morning on the Southeast Side of Columbus.

According to Columbus police, investigators were sent to the White Ash neighborhood just north of Canal Winchester, where they were interviewing witnesses, though no details on what led to the shooting were immediately released.

Police confirmed to NBC4 that the victim has been pronounced dead at 9:51 a.m. By midafternoon, police had left without indicating how it happened or whether there were any arrests or suspects.
