March 1, 1979: Bill Parcells joins the Giants organization as linebackers coach in his first stint with the team. The eventual Hall of Famer would eventually return to New York as the linebackers coach and defensive coordinator, rise to head coach and lead Big Blue to the franchise’s first two Super Bowl championships.
