Century: Age Of Ashes Release Date & Baby Dragons Shown

0

A new trailer for Century: Age of Ashes was revealed at Gamescom 2021, showing off the game's intense PvP dragon combat and giving the title a new release date. The game was first announced at the 2020 Game Awards show followed by another trailer in March of this year that showed off the game's classes and gameplay while announcing an April release date. However, the developers decided to delay the game following Age of Ashes' second beta earlier this year to focus on fixes and improvements based on the feedback from testers.

Century: Age of Ashes features PvP battles in various modes of 3v3 to 6v6 dogfights. Every player controls their own dragon and rider, soaring around an arena at breakneck speeds while trying to blast opponents out of the sky using each dragon's unique powers and abilities. Each player can choose their preferred class, each with a specific dragon and power, along with two abilities that can be selected based on the player's strategy.

The latest trailer for Playwing's multiplayer dragon-fest was just shown at Gamescom 2021 alongside games from Xbox, Ubisoft, Activision, EA, & More, giving viewers another look at the game's visuals and gameplay and announcing a new release date of November 18, 2021. Most of the trailer is dedicated to showing the fast-paced dragon combat players will experience when the game launches later this year. Aside from the intense combat, the trailer boasts the game's detailed graphics, giving an in-game look at the high-quality dragons, environments, and elemental effects. The trailer can now be viewed on the PlayCentury YouTube channel.

Another interesting development from the game that hasn't been shown before takes place at the very end of the trailer for those who stuck around, giving a brief glimpse of a baby dragon for a few moments. According to a press release, baby dragons were a hotly request feature from fans. Time will tell how they're integrated into the game. The game is available now for pre-order on the Century: Age of Ashes Steam page, with multiple different Founder's Packs available for purchase starting at $20. While the game is priced for the early access period, the full release will see the game going free-to-play, so patient players won't have to spend any money to take part in the PvP dragon-riding experience.

When the game was first announced, people were excited to see the dragon dogfighting combination hit the video game industry. Early previews of the game have been largely positive, and players seem excited to take to the skies. Overall, the gameplay and visuals for Century: Age of Ashes look to be living up to the excitement of the game's premise, proving to be a promising release for fans of fast-paced aerial combat.
