RHONY: Bethenny Donates To Child Left In Coma After Astroworld Tragedy

0

The Real Housewives of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel donated $10,000 to a boy who suffered severe injuries at Travis Scott's Astroworld music festival in Houston. Since Bethenny started her charity company BStrong, a disaster relief initiative that has donated millions for natural disaster relief and the COVID-19 pandemic, Bethenny has embraced her philanthropic side. She's had planes brought to Puerto Rico and Texas filled with food, money, and more to help the people of these cities recover from natural disasters.

While Bethenny appeared on RHONY, she could either be the bad guy or the nicest woman around. Despite what she portrayed on the show, Bethenny seemingly has a huge heart and wants to use her good fortune to help those in need. Even though she wasn't the nicest to her co-stars, she is always willing to lend a helping hand where she can to others.

On November 9, Bethenny announced on her Instagram Stories that her organization BStrong is $10,000 to the family of 9-year-old Ezra Blount, who was put into a medically induced coma after suffering severe injuries at the Astroworld music festival last week. The 51-year-old said that her team will "bring the aid to his family" after seeing the family go through such a heartbreaking situation. Bethenny later took to social media to reflect on the tragedy in a separate Instagram post. "Hug your babies….life is short and can change in an instant," the reality star wrote in the caption alongside a photo of herself with Bethenny's 11-year-old daughter Bryn. "It's not always easy to give them what they want while ensuring their safety. Parenting is an ever changing thing and the world is not the same one we grew up in."

Later in the caption, Bethenny encouraged her followers to donate and help the victims who lost loved ones in the Astrowrold tragedy. NBC News revealed that Ezra was on his father's shoulders while at the festival that took place on Friday, November 5. As fellow concertgoers began crushing into each other, his father passed out, and Ezra fell to the ground. When the father awoke, his son was nowhere to be found, but later found out Ezra was at the Texas Children's Hospital after calling multiple places. Ezra suffered severe brain trauma and suffered damage to his lungs, liver, and kidney after he was trampled. Travis, the mastermind behind Astroworld, shared a heartfelt message on social media, saying how devastated he was by the tragic event. The Kardashian family also released their own statements, since Travis is currently dating Kylie Jenner, as well as Drake, who also performed at the festival.

The Astroworld tragedy clearly hit home for the former The Real Housewives of New York City star since she has a daughter who is just a couple of years older than Ezra. Now Bethenny is looking to help those who suffered a tremendous tragedy that night.
