The Bachelor: Marlena Wesh's Age, Instagram, Job, Hometown & More
On this week's premiere episode of The Bachelor season 26, contestant Marlena Wesh was introduced, and it's time to share some interesting facts about her. She joined the show to try and win Clayton Echard's heart, and Marlena was first introduced to Bachelor Nation as a contestant on Michelle Young's The Bachelorette season. While Clayton was hoping to fall in love with Michelle, he was eliminated from the show during week 6. Clayton didn't end up with Michelle, but now he has the chance to fall in love with Marlena.
Viewers got to meet Marlena for the first time on Monday, January 3, during the first episode of Clayton's season. The show started with quite a bit of drama, as a couple of women left the show before the first rose ceremony. Salley Carson didn't even make it to limo arrivals when she decided that she no longer wanted to be a part of the show. Clare Heilig was also very captivating as she told the other women that she "hated" Clayton. So far, the women of season 26 are definitely an intriguing bunch.
According to her The Bachelor bio on ABC, Marlena refers to herself as the "full package." Not only has she been the vice president of human resources at Florida Credit Union for three years, but she works in real estate and is a former Olympic athlete. According to Marlena's LinkedIn page, The Bachelor contestant got her first big break in the corporate world as a Human Resources Generalist at Florida Credit Union in 2017. After less than two years, the 31-year-old was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources, her role up until September 2021. After leaving that job, Marlena began to take on her real estate career full-time, working for Keller Williams Realty, Inc. Besides real estate, Marlena works as a professor at Santa Fe College, where she has been teaching since August 2020.
Other than her career, Marlena is known for being a former Olympic athlete. Even though she was born and raised in Virginia, Marlena was able to compete in the Olympics for Haiti since both of her parents were born there. Marlena, who is a contestant alongside first-kiss recipient Teddi Wright, competed in 2012 at the London Olympics, where she reached her goal of making it to the 400-meter semi-finals and came in third in her heat. Marlena is quite the catch, as she is a hardworking businesswoman and successful Olympian. However, she is much more than a high achiever. On Marlena's Instagram, she shows that she loves to have fun now that she is living in Miami. She loves going out, dressing up, and working out.
Marlena was able to make it past night one, so there is still a chance that she may fall in love with Clayton. If Clayton ultimately chooses her, it won't be too much of a surprise, as who wouldn't want to be engaged to an Olympic athlete who is now a successful real estate agent? Clayton may have quite the journey ahead of him with Marlena.
