An American extradited from France to face charges that he sexually assaulted a fellow Pennsylvania college student in 2013 has pleaded guilty. A lawyer for 32-year-old Ian Cleary says he was unaware of the charges filed in 2021 and not on the run. Cleary admits he sent the victim a Facebook message in 2019 that said, “So I raped you." He faces a proposed four- to eight-year sentence after Thursday’s plea. Victim Shannon Keeler, the former Gettysburg University student who pursued the case for more than a decade, says the case took twists and turns before justice was done.
