The father of a teenage boy killed in Gaza implored him to “Get up” after a hospital said the boy died in an Israeli strike. The father knelt on the floor of a hospital morgue on Saturday and claimed the 15-year-old was simply asleep. Then he tried to rouse the boy's 13-year-old cousin, who was also killed. Shifa Hospital said the teens were killed while searching for firewood. There has been no central electricity in the territory since the war between Israel and Hamas began. Israel’s military denied that those killed were children. It said it targeted several militants who it claimed had planted explosives.
