Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner’s Daughter Violet’s Solo Outing Shows How She’s Handling Her Fashion Controversies
Earlier this year, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s daughter Violet found herself in the middle of a controversy: all over a purse. In photos obtained by Hola earlier this year, Violet was seen driving her mom’s $60,000 electric BMW and wearing a vintage Y2K-era Marc Jacobs purse, which can go for anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, despite publicly bashing the privileged masses. And now, she seems to have taken a total 180 with her luxe fashion.
Earlier this week, Violet was photographed walking around in Los Angeles, rocking a purse that’s less than $25. In the photos obtained by DailyMail, we can see she’s wearing a handmande bag instead of a designer bag. And it seems to be made from the WADORN DIY crochet handbag making kit, which goes for $24 on Amazon.
(However, something else to note is that she’s wearing the DOEN Tatiana Dress, which costs over $400.)
While many fans love seeing her live her best life, others see it as a bit hypocritical, given that she consistently wears designer pieces. Many have taken issue with it after her viral essay, which called out the environmental harm caused by the privileged. The essay targeted many wealthy people, including her own family members, as reported by Yale Global Health Review via Mercury News. (Per Celebrity Net Worth, her parents have a combined net worth of over $230 million, so they’re on the richer side.)
Now, something else to consider is that these could be thrifted, gifted, or hand-me-downs. Plus, she’s 19: also known as the prime time for experimenting with your identity and fashion. But fans are still taking note of what she wears out (and let’s face it, we do adore her DIY bag moment)!
