Chris Martin Wants Privacy — But His 'Kiss Cam' May Have Just Sparked an Office Scandal

Chris Martin, who is one of the most private musicians in Hollywood, may have accidentally exposed an office affair. 

Coldplay’s concert in Foxborough, MA, on July 16 quickly turned from a music event into a Bravo TV reality show. A TikTok video showed Martin’s “kiss cam” footage with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron standing behind the company’s Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot. He had his arms around her waist as she embraced his hands — it was clearly a romantic moment.

As soon as they saw their faces on the video screen, they immediately reacted — and they sure looked guilty. Byron dropped to the ground out of sight as Cabot turned her back to the camera lens in embarrassment. To make matters worse, there appears to be another Astronomer employee who knew about the alleged tryst. Senior Director of People Alyssa Stoddard looked beet-red after the musician made the awkward discovery. 

Martin then chimed in on the unfolding scene before him.

“Look at these two,” he said. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.” Lucky (or unlucky) for them, someone in the audience was filming the entire encounter. 

The problem with this situation is that Cabot and Byron are both married to other people. According to Page Six, Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, reacted by deleting his surname from her Facebook account and then taking down her profile because it was drawing too much attention. 

Martin hasn’t publicly made any further comments, but the snapshots from the Massachusetts concert were uploaded to Coldplay’s Instagram account on July 17, and followers were on the hunt for incriminating photos. 

“We’re all here because of the affair ????????,” laughed one fan. Another added, referencing the elephant in the room, “Nice, did anything else happen?” One eyewitness even gave a temperature read on the unexpected night, “I was there- it was wild!! Imagine being caught by Chris Martin?!”

Martin never expected to be a part of a corporate America scandal, but he’s probably happy people are talking about Cabot and Byron instead of his recent split with Dakota Johnson.
