As someone who travels frequently for both work and pleasure, I like to think I’ve become something of a travel bag connoisseur. Trust me when I say I have tried more than I can count. I’ve tried designer splurges to budget finds from Amazon, and structured briefcase-style bags to slouchy hobos. But after a lot of testing, one bag has consistently proven itself: the Baggallini Carryall Tote. And it just so happens to be on sale during Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale.
OK, so what makes this travel tote stand out from all the rest? First, it’s incredibly versatile. The 52-inch removable crossbody strap transforms it from a professional-looking shoulder bag to a hands-free travel companion in seconds. At 19″ wide and 12.5″ high, it’s surprisingly spacious enough for all of my essentials plus some extras without feeling bulky.
The thoughtful organization is my favorite part. The padded laptop sleeve is a must when I’m traveling for work. It securely holds my laptop, while the RFID-protected passport pocket gives me peace of mind when I’m running through crowded airports. The exterior slip pockets are perfect for boarding passes, a book, your phone, and there’s even a zippered interior pocket where I like to store my emergency stash of tampons and Excedrin.
Another favorite feature (I know, I have a lot of love for this seemingly simple bag), there’s a luggage sleeve on the back that lets me stack it perfectly on my Away luggage carry-on. You don’t realize how important his feature is until you only have 5 minutes to cross three terminals in an international airport. Trust me, knowing your tote is securely fastened to your luggage as you run to your gate is such a relief.
Normally priced at $125, several colorways are currently 25% off during Nordstrom’s massive Anniversary Sale, bringing the price down to $93. It’s still an investment, but for a bag that handles everything you could possibly throw at it (and then some), it’s absolutely worth the investment.
