Orlando Bloom’s Ex-Wife Miranda Kerr Subtly Showed Whose Side She’s on Amid His & Katy Perry’s Breakup
Amid Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s breakup, Miranda Kerr has seemingly shown who she’s supporting. Hint: it’s both of them, but she gave Perry the sweetest shoutout that fans rejoiced over!
Earlier this week, Kerr shared a carousel of Instagram videos and photos with the caption reading, “Summer so far ????❤️????????.”
We obviously get a lot of aesthetically pleasing photos and videos, but we need to talk about slide three! Slide three is a clip of Perry performing “California Girls” at the Kia Forum for her Lifetimes Tour.
That’s right, Kerr showed some support for her former co-parenting pal Perry, and that’s something we truly love to see!
Now, this isn’t too shocking when you remember how close Kerr and Perry have gotten over the years.
She told Access Hollywood that she, Bloom, Perry, and her husband Evan Spiegel would take vacations together. She said, “It’s incredible because, you know, now with Evan as my partner for the last nine years, and now we have our family, and Katie and Orlando have Daisy, it’s like we’re a blended family! And we go on family vacations together, we enjoy each other’s company, it’s great!”
Kerr also said in the Moments With Candace Parker podcast: “I saw how she was with Flynn. She was very playful with Flynn. She was not trying to be his mum. She was just being friendly and kind, and that’s all you can ask for.”
For those who don’t know, Kerr and Bloom started dating in the fall of 2007, but didn’t make their relationship public until the spring of 2008. However, they were acquaintances for years prior, and Bloom was the one to initiate a romantic interest, but she shut him down. Why? “At the time I was seeing someone else,” she said to Hello via People.
After nearly three years of dating, they announced their engagement in June 2010. They married in a secret ceremony a month later, and then Kerr gave birth to their son, named Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom, on Jan 2011. Then, the couple divorced in 2013.
Then, Bloom and Perry met back in 2016 at a Golden Globes afterparty, and within a few months, they started dating. They confirmed their romance in May 2016 with a now-archived Instagram post.
However, within less than a year, they actually split up. Perry was reportedly the one to end it, and their reps confirmed the split to People. However, it didn’t last long because they were spotted together in the summer of 2017, and then got back together by Jan 2018. After that, they got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019.
In March 2020, they announced they were expecting a child in Perry’s music video for her song “Never Worn White.” Then, on Aug. 27, 2020, they welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom into the world. Then, they broke up in June 2025.
