Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Is the Zoo Rulekeeper — & Her List of Dos & Don’ts Has Us Cackling
If you need any help remembering the rules of Australia Zoo, Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace Warrior has got you covered. In fact, the 4-year-old just made her own list of dos and don’ts at the zoo, and it’s the funniest thing we’ve ever seen.
Bindi’s mom (and Grace’s “Bunny”) Terri Irwin shared a picture of her granddaughter, holding up the hand-drawn list of “rules of Australia Zoo” on a green piece of paper. Number 1: “Don’t eat the crocodiles *unless it’s a chocolate crocodile.” Hey, you never know what might tempt some people!
Number 2: “Don’t lick the plants.” Um…yes, this is definitely a rule only a toddler would think of (and a toddler would ignore too!).
Other rules include “don’t make people or animals sad” (aw!) and “don’t share food with strangers.” Finally — and most importantly — “have fun!” Grace even drew the numbers and some other random squiggles on the page, as she holds it up proudly for the camera. She is too cute!
“The future of @australiazoo is in excellent hands! ????” Terri captioned the post.
“Don’t lick the plants has me crying ????????,” one person wrote. Someone else said, “As a zookeeper who has had to provide first aid for a kid that ate a plant I concur that this rule is important ???????? less sure about sharing food tho, tehehe.”
Ever since she was little, Grace has taken her zoo responsibilities seriously. Like once when she was 2, Grace joined her parents for a zoo staff meeting. “Grace requested to come to our #AustraliaZoo staff meeting with us and gave a fabulous update on koalas. ????” Bindi wrote on Instagram. “She’s also been saying ‘thank you for your hard work’ to everyone since the meeting and it makes us laugh every time.”
“I love getting to share life with Grace and I feel so lucky to be her mama. ❤️” she added.
In the video, Grace hangs out in her mom’s arms at the crocoseum to chat with staff and thank them for all they do. Later, Bindi says to staff: “To be honest, it’s Grace who runs the zoo and makes all the big decisions.” We knew it! With Grace in charge, everyone will be nice to each other and the animals (and all the plants will remain lick-free!).
