Lily James Claps Back at Instagram for Seemingly Taking Down Her Nude Photos
Lily James is calling out Instagram for doing this to her latest post, and it has fans playing catch-up.
On Aug 11, the Cinderella star shared a scenic pic selfie on her Instagram. She shared the photo with the caption reading, “Instagram you deleted my last post … why…”
Now, James looks gorgeous in this radiant selfie that shows off her glowing skin, her hot pink top that complements her skin tone, and the gorgeous background.
But we need to talk about the caption: what did Instagram do?! Previously, James shared a bunch of photos and videos from her time filming on location in the Canadian wilderness for the thriller Harmonia.
Throughout the photos, there was one of her and fellow co-stars completely naked, celebrating as they hold hands in a circle. While the photo was obtained by DailyMail, Instagram seemingly removed the post in accordance with community guidelines regarding online nudity.
Despite many celebrities posting a bunch of nude photos, Instagram decided to take this one down. Per their guidelines page, they said: “We don’t allow nudity on Instagram, with some exceptions, like photos of post-mastectomy scarring and women actively breastfeeding. Nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures is OK, too.”
Now, James has been open about being nude on screen and being her most confident self. In fact, in a previous interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2020, she talked about her advice for staying happy and confident, saying, “Talk to yourself like you’re talking to your friend. You’re your own worst critic, which is so ridiculous. Why can’t we be kind to ourselves like we are to our friends?”
