Taylor Swift Says Her Friends Accused Her of Being 'Bodysnatched' Because of Travis Kelce Relationship

Taylor Swift’s friends thought she’d been “bodysnatched” after her relationship with Travis Kelce caused a major change in her interests.

During her appearance on Travis’ New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason, Swift opened up about gaining a newfound love for sports through dating the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

The singer, 35, said she “fell in love” with football while falling in love with her boyfriend of two years and is now “obsessed” with the NFL, leading her friends to joke about who this new football-loving person is.

“I became a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, ‘We drafted Xavier Worthy!'” she said, referring to the 22-year-old wide receiver selected by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. “My friends are like, ‘Who bodysnatched you? What do you mean?'”

Travis, also 35, showed his appreciation for Swift’s dedication to football. “I am forever thankful for you diving into the football world wholeheartedly,” he said.

Earlier in the conversation, Swift discussed how little she knew about football before she started dating Travis. “On our first date, I legitimately asked him what it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl, and he looked across the field across the line of scrimmage and saw his brother standing on the other… five feet in front of him on the field,” she said.

At the 2022 Super Bowl, Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs went head-to-head with the Philadelphia Eagles, the team Jason played for before his retirement.

Taylor said that her now-boyfriend had no judgment when he explained that the rules of football meant such a moment with Jason never happened.

“[Travis] didn’t even look at me. Like, I now know what an insane question that was,” Swift said. “He was like, ‘Actually, I’m on the offense and my brother’s on the offense, and I’m only on the field at the same time as the defense.’ I thought everyone was on the field at the same time.”
