Nina Dobrev's TikTok About 'Fixing a Man' Hits Different After Her Shaun White Breakup

Nina Dobrev and Shaun White had a “source” tell People about their breakup after five years together, but the Vampire Diaries star may have hinted about the split in a Sept. 5 TikTok video.

The 36-year-old actress interacted with the audio titled “Bad Bitch Granny.” Off-screen, a voice is heard saying, ”How do you sleep at night knowing people don’t like you?”

She lip-synched back, “With no underwear, in case they wanna kiss my ass.”

And that’s when the clues about White came into play. The audio asked, “What’s your advice for women trying to fix their man?”

“Listen, Bob the Builder, he’s got 10 other women trying to fix him too, and you all look like a damn construction crew,” she mimed back. Dobrev didn’t offer any other explanation in the caption, but she did add three emojis: a construction worker, a tractor, and a hammer.

It sounds like the hammer came down on their relationship. People confirmed the news of their breakup on Sept. 11 with a source sharing that “it was a mutual decision, and wasn’t an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for one another.”

According to the media outlet, the Olympic snowboarder and Dobrev were spotted holding hands in Los Angeles on Aug. 31. By Sept. 7, she was no longer wearing her engagement ring at the Eternity premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. And the real tell-tale sign? Her October 2024 engagement announcement on her Instagram page was no longer pinned to the top of her feed.

While Dobrev and White have not commented publicly on the split, Reddit went into overdrive with speculation about possible cheating allegations. In 2022, DeuxMoi had an unverified post that claimed “everyone’s favorite snowboarder has been unfaithful” — everyone assumed it was about White. The post continued, “He’s been seen on dating apps and DM’ing girls. He also had a night to remember while abroad last February.”

Those rumors have never been confirmed, but Dobrev’s recent TikTok post takes on a different meaning now that they’ve gone their separate ways.
