Kaley Cuoco Reveals the One Talent Daughter Matilda Did Not Inherit From Her Famous Parents — & It’s Too Cute

It turns out, the apple did fall far from the tree in Kaley Cuoco’s family. The Big Bang Theory star revealed that her daughter Matilda “Tildy,” 2, who she shares with husband Tom Pelphrey, did not inherit one special trait from her famous parents. The story behind it is just too cute!

The Based on a True Story star revealed that her daughter did not get the acting gene at The John Ritter Foundation’s Evening from the Heart Gala on Friday. “Tom and I laugh because we think she’s a terrible actress,” Cuoco told PEOPLE. “She fake cries, and we can see right through her.”

“We’re like, ‘Nope, you’re not getting away with that, little lady,” she added. “You’re going to have to have some better acting chops than that.’”

Poor Tildy! She’s gotta sharpen up those skills if she ever wants to get away with stuff!

Although, if she asks her dad, he might just let her. After all, Tildy is the ultimate daddy’s girl! In an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show in November, Cuoco revealed that her daughter “loves her Dada.”

“Let me tell you, she would push me into a burning fire to get to her Dada,” The Flight Attendant star said. “’Dada, Dada!’ Everything is ‘Dada!’ They’re very much in love. I know, it’s kind of amazing.”

“And he would possibly push me into a flame to get to her too,” Cuoco quipped.

Luckily for Cuoco, Tildy does share one similarity with her mom: she’s downright hilarious. In an Jan. 2024 interview with PEOPLE, Cuoco said, “I love her so much, I really do. She is very funny. I think selfishly what I love the most is she finds me hilarious. I think she’s my best audience.”

She went on, “I never had more laughs than I do in our house with this baby. And I used to feel like I got a lotta laughs, but now with her, I am her 24/7 clown entertainment, and I love nothing more.”

Tildy may not be good at fake tears, but it doesn’t matter because she already has both her parents wrapped around her little finger!
