A Video of Kanye West Yelling at Kris Jenner Has Fans Criticizing One Member of the Kardashian Family

A video of Kanye West shouting at Kris Jenner in a heated argument is making fans point their fingers and another member of the family.

West is seen engaged in a heated discussion with his then-mother-in-law in a clip from the rapper’s newly-released documentary, In Whose Name? In the video, Jenner is attempting to reason with the rapper about taking medication for his bipolar disorder when West tells her that he’d “rather be dead” than medicated.

“Y’all demasculated me and made me feel like a piece of s–t,” he said. “And the only reason you got away with it is because I was medicated.”

West, who was still married to Kim Kardashian at the time the footage was filmed, tells Jenner, “No one from the family is taking any responsibility for my hospital visit, but if you wanna go online that’s 50 percent of what people say. At least. Am I lying?”

When Jenner, 69, replied that “it doesn’t matter,” West began to scream at her. “It does matter!” he yelled repeatedly, shouting over Jenner, who pointed out that he hadn’t allowed her to “finish a sentence.”

“It matters to us and you. It doesn’t matter what the internet says. It matters what we think, Ye,” Jenner told her then-son-in-law.

It is at this point that the camera pans to the other side of the room to show Corey Gamble, Jenner’s longtime partner, who is sitting at a table while West screams. Gamble doesn’t appear to react or attempt to stop the rapper, which has elicited criticism online.

“Corey is not doing enough for me,” one fan wrote in the comments of a TikTok video of the scene. “How did Corey just sit there???” questioned another. “Corey sat there and just let him scream at Kris?” added a third.

As the conversation continued, Jenner became increasingly upset. “So what do you think? Did you have an effect on my mental health?” West quizzed while Jenner, who was tears at this point, replied, “Yes. Yes. Yes. I’m saying yes. And I love you. I love you. I don’t want you to be not perfect. I love you.”

“I want my daughter [Kim Kardashian] to love you the way you want her to love you,” Jenner said.

West and Kardashian married in 2014 and welcomed four kids together — daughter North, 12, son Saint, 9, daughter Chicago, 7, and son Psalm, 6. They divorced in 2022.
