This Y2K Reality Star is Putting His Name on The List of Potential Officiants for Taylor & Travis’ Wedding

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding hasn’t even set a date yet, but the storylines are already spiraling: baby rumors, insider whispers about venue drama, and now — a potential officiant with more clocks than a bridal registry. Flavor Flav, the Public Enemy icon turned Y2K reality TV legend, has officially volunteered as tribute.

“I would love to officiate their wedding,” Flav told E! News at the Elizabeth Taylor Night of Compassion in Beverly Hills on Sept. 18. “Have I heard from them? No, I haven’t heard from them, but I’ve been hearing a lot about them. I’ve been seeing a lot about them. I’m so happy for them, and I am dying to be the officiator for their wedding, believe me.”

It’s not exactly out of left field, either. Flav has been calling himself the “King Swiftie” ever since he showed up at her Detroit Eras Tour stop in 2023. “All of these young kids start coming up to me,” he said, remembering the moment he was suddenly draped in friendship bracelets. “They embraced me.” That night sent him down a Swiftie rabbit hole. “I went home and I really listened to Taylor’s lyrics, and I’m like, ‘Hey, this girl is dope man … that’s how her fan base relates to her, you know what I’m saying?’”

Meanwhile, Taylor and Travis have been busy keeping their own fans on the edge of their seats. The couple confirmed their engagement on Aug. 26 with Swift’s caption — “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married” — and immediately triggered speculation that a wedding (and maybe babies) could come sooner rather than later. Insiders recently claimed the two “absolutely want a family” and may fast-track the ceremony to make it happen.

Then there’s the wedding guest list, which has already caused a minor celebrity panic. Travis’s golf buddy Andrew Santino admitted he’s not holding his breath for an invite, joking that even his dad might have a better shot. Names like Ryan Reynolds, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, and the Mahomeses are being floated, with Taylor pushing for intimate and Travis lobbying for blowout.

Flav may not crack the final lineup, but he’s not slowing down his campaign. “I’m excited for her new album,” he said. “Not only am I excited for her new album, but I’m excited for her brand-new life.”
