Neil Patrick Harris Reveals Which One of His & David Burtka's Kids Has the Acting Bug in Super-Rare Interview

While we can see Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka’s twins, Harper and Gideon, have the travel bug like their dads, it seems one of them also has the acting bug already. Turns out, Neil just revealed that his lookalike son Gideon is acting, and acting at the same time as him!

In a super-rare interview with People for the premiere of his Broadway show ART, the How I Met Your Mother alum revealed his son Gideon is acting too!

“Gideon is in his school play right now. He’s in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” he said. “So it’s fun to have him watch me and to talk shop. And Harper is amazingly talented and artistic as well.” So it seems Gideon is turning out more and more like his actor papas!

For those who don’t know, Harris and Burtka have been together since April 2004, later marrying in Sept 2014 after being engaged since 2006. In October 2010, they welcomed twins named Gideon and Harper via surrogacy.

In a previous, super-rare interview with YahooLife in 2021, Harris talked about his approach to parenting. “I kind of approach parenting as a ‘let’s see how it goes’ attitude,” he said. “I think rigidity gets us into more trouble than being flexible. We have our rules and we have our edicts and boundaries, but if you’re super hardcore about things, it turns into more conflict than is necessary.”
