Jennifer Lawrence's Former $11M Beverly Hills Mansion Has a Surprising New A-List Owner
Jennifer Lawrence enjoyed her time on the West Coast, but in the last few years, she and her husband, Cooke Maroney, have been deeply embedded in their New York City lifestyle. Now, she’s offloaded her Beverly Hills estate to a very familiar face in her inner circle.
Realtor.com was the first to report that the Oscar winner made an off-market deal on the five-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion she bought for her parents, Karen and Gary, in 2014. She made quite a profit since she bought it for $8.2 million 11 years ago. Now, the North Hillcrest blog is revealing that an A-list pal is the one who bought the residence from her.
Cara Delevingne is the new owner of the fancy home in a very elite neighborhood with famous neighbors, including Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz, and Adele. The estate, once owned by Jessica Simpson, is the perfect place for the 33-year-old British model and actress to put down roots after her Los Angeles home burned down in March 2024. At the time, Delevingne was working overseas in the West End production of Cabaret, but her two Persian cats, Bao and Biggie, were rescued by firefighters.
Delevinge shared her thoughts with The Times in July 2024 about the traumatic event, “It sucks, but everyone was safe and, like anything, if I’d not been sober, I would still be reeling over that. It would still affect me really deeply. Of course, it affected me, it’s super sad … it never won’t be. But I don’t use it as a tool to keep myself sad.”
In November 2024, the Suicide Squad star sold the property as-is for $4.6 million — a $2.4 million loss for her, per the New York Post. According to TMZ, firefighters ruled the fire as “undetermined” because the “extensive damage” did not allow them to “pinpoint the exact origin and cause of the blaze.”
Lawrence settled in New York City during the pandemic with Maroney when they plopped down $21.9 million on a West Village townhome — perfect for their growing family. The couple shares two children: Cy, 3, and another child born in April.
