Prince Harry Reveals Kids Archie & Lilibet’s ‘Amazing’ Reaction to a Milestone Experience
As a mom, one of my favorite things to do is recreate magical childhood memories with my kids. And it’s obvious that Prince Harry feels the same way. He recently gave his kids Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet “Lili,” 4, who he shares with wife Meghan Markle, a milestone experience straight from his own past — and the kids had an “amazing” reaction to it.
The milestone in question? A trip to Disneyland, of course! The Sussexes brought their kids to the Happiest Place on Earth for Lili’s fourth birthday in June. “Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!” Markle captioned a video of the experience at the time. Now, Prince Harry is revealing more details about the outing in a new interview.
In an interview on The Happiest Story on Earth: 70 Years of Disneyland – A Special Edition of 20/20, Prince Harry revealed that his kids were already excited for the day of fun as they were driving up to the park. “They’re like, ‘This is amazing!’ Like, ‘Guys, this isn’t even the front of it. Prepare yourself. You’re about to be blown away,'” he said in the interview, per Hello!
Later, he added, “To see the kids throw themselves into these experiences when they have no idea what they’re walking into — it was amazing. And it brings out the kid in you again.”
The program also shared an unseen photo of the kids, sitting at a table and staring at an incredible Little Mermaid-themed cake. And they weren’t the only ones amazed by the experience — Prince Harry also admitted to going on his favorite ride (Space Mountain) ‘ten, maybe twelve times.” It sounds like a blast!
The kids got to meet Elsa from Frozen and other characters, which Prince Harry remembers doing on a childhood visit with his mom Princess Diana. “I remember it very, very well. I remember losing it as a kid with all the characters. Like, losing it,” he recalled. It turns out, even royals are affected by magical moments like these!
Earlier this month, Prince Harry visited the UK, where he saw his father King Charles III for the first time since Feb. 2024. After the visit, he told The Guardian how much he enjoyed the visit. “Yes, I have enjoyed the week. I have always loved the UK and I always will love the UK,” he said. “It’s been good to reconnect with the causes I am passionate about. I have been able to spend some time with people that I have known for so long. It is hard to do it from far away.”
In the same interview, Prince Harry touched on bringing his kids back to the UK one day, saying, “This week has definitely brought that closer.”
