Trader Joe's New Protein-Packed Breakfast Item Is Selling Out So Fast That Shoppers Are Lining Up Early to Try to Grab It

Start your day with a bit more energy than you’re used to with this fabulous protein-packed breakfast item at Trader Joe’s. This brand-new product is always selling out, but if you can find it, then you will enjoy every bite!

Trader Joe’s shopper and Instagrammer Natasha Rochelle (@traderjoeslist) posted a video answering questions about one of the store’s most popular new products: protein pancakes.

“When I receive hundreds of DM’s asking the same question it’s time to make a video,” Rochelle wrote on Instagram. “The new protein pancakes from Trader Joe’s are absolutely delicious and that is why they are always sold out, but if they’re not sold out, you can find them over in the refrigerated section by the eggs and butter.”

These extremely popular protein pancakes are only $3.79, which is part of the reason they are so hard to find. They are in the refrigerated section and come ready-to-eat, which lowers the stress of a typical pancake breakfast that must be cooked on the griddle. Not to mention, the pancakes (which come in packages of four) contain 20 grams of protein. (Twenty grams?! What an easy way to fit your daily protein needs in!) Just pop them in the toaster or microwave, and you’re good to go.

“From what I understand, if you want to get them you have to get there in the morning when they restock,” she explains in the video. “…If you go midday they’re already going to be sold out.”

She’s tried them herself, calling them “excellent.” “If I see them today,” Rochelle continues, “I’m buying multiple packages.” That’s high praise!

The commenters agreed. “They’re SOOO good,” one person commented. Someone else wrote, “I’m addicted to these!!!”

“These are SO GOOD and I haven’t been able to get them since the first time I’ve had them weeks ago,” someone else said.

To get them yourself, you have to wake up early to find them. Like this customer shared, “I got them before they went viral and thought they were pretty good. Unfortunately haven’t been able to get them since. Store said they get one case per day as the manufacturer is still trying to amp up production and people line up before opening to get them. I was there 20 minutes after opening today and they were gone!”

If you don’t mind standing outside in line and rushing to the cold section of Trader Joe’s when they first open, then these pancakes are apparently so worth the hype. Otherwise, customers have pointed out the the retailer also sells a powdered box mix of the protein pancakes, which you could make in advance and freeze until you are ready to eat them.

For busy mornings when you want something yummy and fast (and full of protein!), then these pancakes are going to be your new go-to breakfast.
