Sunday Rose Thanks Sabrina Carpenter After Including Mom Nicole Kidman in an Iconic Concert Moment
Getting arrested by Sabrina Carpenter is the honor of a lifetime, and 17-year-old Sunday Rose is so happy it happened to her mom Nicole Kidman. The teen just thanked the “Manchild” singer for including her mom in an iconic moment, and it’s so cool.
In case you missed it, the pop singer has been pretend arresting famous people during her “Short n’ Sweet” tour, including Gigi Hadid, Margaret Qualley, Emma Bunton, and others. On Tuesday, it was the Babygirl actress’s turn. According to Page Six, Carpenter arrested her for “being too hot” at her Nashville concert.
“We come to this arena for magic, right? Oh my goodness, speaking of magic,” Carpenter said, according to the outlet, “I expected to find love but not my soulmate.”
“If things work out between us, then I guess I’m moving to Nashville. Babygirl, I don’t know what to do, Nicole!” she teased. The “Espresso” singer then handed Kidman furry pink handcuffs and sang “Juno” dedicated to her.
Afterward, Sunday took to Instagram to share a video of the iconic moment. “Someone’s in trouble” she wrote over a video of Kidman taking the handcuffs from Carpenter. Sunday also shared a screenshot of a text exchange between her and her mom, in which Kidman wrote: “Hi Baby, I’m heading down to be arrested.x”
Sunday wrote over the top, “thanks mom and @sabrinacarpenter.” (PEOPLE has a screenshot HERE.) Most people would freak out over getting a text like that from their mom, but Sunday knew exactly what was happening in this light-hearted and fun moment.
This isn’t the first time Kidman has looked cool for her daughters. In March 2024, Olivia Rodrigo recreated Kidman’s famous AMC commercial on TikTok, and Kidman loved it. “You just won me some major points with my girls! Adore you, @oliviarodrigo xx ????????????” Kidman wrote to the “Vampire” singer.
Kidman’s concert appearance comes a little more than a month after Kidman filed for divorce from ex-husband Keith Urban, with whom Kidman also shares daughter Faith, 14. Insiders told Star Magazine recently that the girls are very supportive of their mom during this time.
“Sunday and Faith love their dad dearly, but they’re feeling very loyal to their mom right now, and they’ve made it their mission to be by her side,” the source revealed.
It’s gotta feel good to have so much public support, and we love seeing Kidman out and having fun with her girls in the midst of this public breakup.
These celebrity tattoos are an homage to their kids.
