Pamela Anderson finally confessed to having a romantic relationship with Liam Neeson, but one detail from their “intimate week” together needs more attention.
During The Naked Gun press tour, Neeson and Anderson had us eating out of the palms of their hands as they fed us tiny morsels that alluded to a romance between them. From a fake makeout to many rounds of effusive praise for one another, their chemistry was electric, and we were all eating it up.
However, it’s only now that Anderson, 58, is ready to admit that something did happen with her co-star. “If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming,” Anderson said in a December 9 cover story with People, revealing that they spent an “intimate week” together at Neeson’s upstate New York home before they started promoting the movie.
That was enough to write a thousand headlines, but can we spare a thought for this detail Anderson shared about their time together: Liam Neeson chased a bear away from the breakfast window while wearing a bathrobe. What a visual.

Other details from the most heartwarming celebrity romance of the year include date nights, separate bedrooms, and special visitors. “I had my own room,” Anderson said. “Our assistants both came; even family stopped by.”
Anderson said that one night they “went to dinner at a tiny French restaurant where he introduced me as the ‘future Mrs. Neeson.'” They spent time in the Taken star’s garden, where Anderson “tended to a rosebush overgrown with mint… I was happy to help, and he appreciated.”
Eventually, after their “romantic lost week,” they parted ways “to work on other films,” Anderson explained.
“We were having fun,” Anderson said of their short-lived fling that felt “a little bit like a Nancy Meyers film.”

“I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh, that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings,'” she said, adding that while she “adores” the Irish actor, “we are better friends, in full honesty.”
Anderson explained that their romantic connection ended amicably, but their friendship remains, adding that he surprised her by coming to see her Tennessee Williams’ Camino Real at Williamstown Theater Festival in August.
“He is such a supporter of this new trajectory in my career and kindly tells me he is very proud of me,” she said. “I’m sure we will always be in each other’s lives.”
Rumors about their romance even had celebrities weighing in this past summer. Anderson’s The Last Showgirl co-star Jamie Lee Curtis gushed in an August interview, “Both of them have had hardship, and they’re both beautiful human beings. If they actually have found an intimate love with each other, we should all go to bed tonight feeling better.”
Neeson’s longtime pal Andy Cohen, who was close with the actor’s late wife Natasha Richardson, also gave his stamp of approval in an interview with the co-stars. “The question that I’m not asking the two of you tonight is what’s going on between the two of you,” Cohen said. “I do just want to say, as a very old friend… all of your friends are very much stanning this relationship, as the kids say.”
