Paris Hilton’s Son Phoenix Has an Unexpected Reaction at Disneyland & Fans Praise the Way She Handled It
On a recent trip to Disneyland, Paris Hilton expected a fun, calm day with her family. However, her eldest son Phoenix, who turns 3 this month, had a surprising reaction to one moment — and Hilton handled it with so much grace.
“When it’s a small world… but you have big emotions,” Hilton wrote over a video on TikTok. In the clip, she’s riding with her son in the “It’s a Small World” ride at Disneyland, and he is not happy.
“He loved it last year!” Hilton explains in the clip, as she holds Phoenix close to her. The toddler has both hands over his eyes, and his mouth is set in a grim line as he gazes at the colorful lights and displays all around him (anyone whose been on the ride knows how overstimulating it can be!). He’s anxiously chewing on his fingernails and grabbing his mom’s hair as the ride goes on, and she simply holds him close, giving a calm, reassuring experience, and lets him be.
Later, the camera pans to Hilton’s daughter London, 2, as she sits in someone else’s lap and seems totally unperturbed by the whole experience. It just goes to show how different kids are, even from the same family!
“Phoenix’s favorite ride at Disneyland is now his worst nightmare ???????????? Maybe next year! ????” she captioned the post. People were quick to praise Hilton for the way she calmly reassured her son.
“He looks like he was having a sensory overload momma. … Hugging him like you did can be considered as a compression, which helps with over stimulation,” one person wrote. “Your body knew naturally what he was needing at that time, go mom ????????????????”
“It is a LOT to take in for anyone!!” another wrote.

The pictures included Hilton pushing London and Pheonix in a double stroller, dressed in matching red Mickey Mouse sweaters, riding the carousel, playing with bubbles, going on the Dumbo ride, and more.
