Kate Middleton & Prince William’s Controversial Sleeping Arrangements Show the Reality of Their Life as a Family of 5

When it comes to the British royal family, everyone wants to know the details that go on behind closed doors. And when anyone mentions the word “bedroom,” ears perk up: What are their sleeping arrangements? Who sleeps in separate beds? And why does ex-Prince Andrew arrange his stuffed animals in an odd way? Well, we can answer what Kate Middleton and Prince William’s sleeping arrangements are like (and it’s rather controversial.)

As many know, since their nuptials in 2011, they have welcomed three children named Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. They also share a spaniel named Orla and her puppies! Now, guess which ones share the bedroom with Kate and William?

While many celebrities and parents alike let their kids sleep in their beds with them, we don’t think that’s the case with the Wales family. In fact, it’s actually the dogs who share the bed with them!

A resurfaced detail, via Woman and Home, from July 2025, from Louise Harland, who told Hits Radio Cornwall, “[He] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate.”

While many see it unhygienic to let your dog sleep in the same bed as you, many, many pet owners allow it to helpn with bonding; and it’s honestly so sweet to think the royals bond this way with their pets.
