Kim Kardashian’s Latest Decision Shows She’s Trying to Make Daughter North West the New Barbie

Kim Kardashian has done virtually everything: reality TV, movies, stores, makeup lines, skincare lines, books, and much, much more. And it seems she’s already in the process of trying to make her eldest daughter, North West, the same type of multi-hyphenate. In fact, it seems she’s working behind-the-scenes to make North West the new-age Barbie.

Let us explain.

According to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Kardashian reportedly filed a trademark for her eldest daughter, North West. Specifically, she filed to trademark her daughter’s name.

The specific patent also meant she trademarked (or is in the process of trying to trademark) North West’s name to sell toys, dolls, play-sets, puzzles, party games, and even puppets. Dolls? Toys? It’s a Barbie business move.

North has been making headlines for her edgy looks, colorful hair, and finger piercings, but it seems Kim may be trying to capitalize on it at some point. (North has already worked in the music industry alongside her dad, so expanding even more is a total Kardashian move.)

For those who don’t know, Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West share four children together, of whom his new wife Bianca Censori is the stepmother. Their children’s names are North, born in June 2013, Saint, born in Dec 2015, Chicago, born in Jan 2018, and Psalm, born in May 2019.
