Natalie Portman Gives Rare Details on Her Teen Son Aleph — Including His Surprising New Business Venture
Natalie Portman doesn’t have to worry about making her teen son get a part-time job — he’s already working hard as an entrepreneur! The Fountain of Youth star revealed that her 14-year-old son Aleph has a new business venture, one which she’s proudly supporting as his mom.
In a new appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Portman recalled how she surprised everyone as “Sally” on Role Model’s concert. During the viral appearance, Portman was repping her son’s clothing line.
“My son, my 14-year-old, started a clothing line called the Vanté. I’m very proud of him,” she told host Jimmy Fallon. “He really just did it all on his own. And, so, I wore one of his shirts on stage. So, I just kind of felt like a banner for him. It was very exciting.”
In the clip, Portman is dancing on stage in a white t-shirt and shorts, with a sweater tied around her waist. She is just so excited and jumping around, and we just love it!
The V for Vendetta star shares Aleph and daughter Amalia, 8, with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied, who she divorced in Feb. 2024. In an interview with Interview Magazine in April 2025, Portman gushed about her kids. “My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are,” she said. “And also, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my friends, with their kids and my kids; that’s pretty fun.”
And they love hanging out with their mom, too, especially when she stars in movies that they deem cool. Like her previous film, Thor: Love and Thunder, where she played a superhero.
“I feel like it’s the phase of my career where I’m really trying to just impress my kids,” she told Variety in 2022. “My 5-year-old and my 10-year-old were so enthralled by this process, getting to visit the set and see me dressed up in a cape. It made it really cool. You know, it’s very rare that my kids are like, ‘Please go to work!’ Usually, it’s quite the opposite.”
Amazing! Now Aleph is branching out and doing his own thing, with his mom as his number one supporter in the sweetest full-circle moment. We love this for her!
