Given Mayor was able to readily post the criteria for signing non-EU players on here it is clearly not a state secret.

We could concentrate our efforts on players that meet the criteria (but I guess they are expensive) or on players with EU passports where there is no work permit issue.

Spending a lot of time, effort and money on a transfer like this when the outcome relies on the whim of a panel could prove to be an unwelcome distraction. All fine of course if we get the deal done though!

We have made 5 signings already and its very early in a season where players are getting crocked and officials are not helping our cause. All that said we're doing OK so I think we just need to be patient.
