Rowett said and it worked massively in his favour, we need a small squad that is tight knit, the 11 starters know who they are, the 7 subs know who they are and the others are all players looking to break into the team.
Now we have a team that is stupidly bloated, players hanging around that have no chance of ever playing for us surplus to requirements but being a voice in the dressing room. The last manager caused arguments and division by saying they are terrible players then replacing them with awful players and calling on those terrible players again. There are 4 different managers signings in the team who were all brought in because they play a certain style that suited how the manager wants to play.
