Bristol City ticket price (14 replies)
Good morning,
I am a Birmingham City supporter. I have a Season Ticket and I attend around 12 away fixtures in a season.
I have watched Blues at Ashton Gate on a number of occasions; it is an away fixture which I always enjoy, and one which I will always attend. Except for this season.
How on earth do you justify charging £32 to Blues fans? The price for 'away' tickets in the Premier League is capped at £30. The quality of the product on offer in the Premier League is - generally - of a higher standard than in The Championship. So how can you expect people to pay more for what is, essentially, "less".
I was very disappointed when i saw the ticket price for this fixture. If Bristol City were in trouble financially, I might be more understanding. But you're not. Quite the opposite, in fact.
This season, Blues' away support has been fantastic, given that we've been in- or near-to the relegation zone for the entire season. Our average away following is around 1800 and to Bolton, on the Tuesday preceding the date of the game at Ashton Gate, we will take 4700 fans. Tickets for that game are £15.
In charging £32 for an adult ticket, you are exploiting the blind loyalty of many Blues fans and, dare-I-say-it, of fans if some other cubs (I doubt it's only this fixture for which you have charged away fans £32).
How would you feel if Bristol City fans were charged £32 to watch their side at another stadium? I'd feel embarrassed if Blues charged away fans £32 to watch their team at St Andrew's.
I think you should be ashamed of yourselves. Don't forget - it's the supporters which make the game what it is.
I look forward to your response.
Yours sincerely,
