Best wishes, Jimmy.
I'm going to resist the temptation to point out that a test match at Edgbaston at any time of the day is likely to be rained off in order to ask a serious question:
What is the point of day/night tests in this country?
Year in and year out English cricket fans buy up test match tickets months in advance. They get to the ground in time for start of play and make a day of it. The grounds are as good as full.
Surely people aren't going to say, "I know what, I'll go and watch half a day's play after work. Читать дальше...
I'm going tomorrow and really looking forward to it.
I love the test matches and because it's the first day/night match I knew I had to go.
Would normally go on the Saturday, but away for the weekend.
yeah good point

Is it so wrong to have been a bit more optimistic at the start of the season. Didn't expect us to get automatically promoted, didn't really expect us to make the play off, did expect us to maybe there or there abouts though. If we are honest most of us expected a few more in by now.
One other general thing, about our owners. We here endless stuff about their business acumen but one clear absolute general rule in the football business is that the best players cost most transfer fees and wages. Choosing to not invest in the club is poor stewardship of the club as it will not create the success they desire.
None in today then

It's typical Harry though, building up expectations and pushing a board to deliver.
Sod the players we've sold (at a loss already) at Harrys choice.
Sod the injuries we're already having (coincidence at the seemingly undercooked pre season?).
Once the window closes is the only time IMO we can judge the transfers in.

I think like many your expectations were set too high.
I never thought promotion was a viable aim this year, and as such I'm nowhere near as het up as you about deals not being done or falling through. The signings we have made all look decent to me and I'm hoping for more of that same vein.
Mind you, it also helps that I genuinely won't shed a tear if Redknapp walks either.
If you were there last night and believe that he's one of the 5 worst players we've had in your time, it means one of two things.
1. You've been watching Blues for very little time.
2. You are utterly incapable of judging a player.
In my opinion.
have a lovely evening.

He's trying a wind up and failing.

Scandalous comments after just 3 league games. Lost one, won one, drew one, money to spend, good signings made and more to come, consecutive 20,000 plus home crowds and folk are whinging?
Embarrassing.
Then on other threads we laugh cos the filth fans are moaning.
Win at Burton and what are we 4th?
So we played a crap game but got a point then a transfer fell through. Big deal.

I think Redknapp is a better manager than Rowett, but he will need to do as well as Rowett to get us close to the play offs. Midtable is best we can hope for with what we have now.
So far, we have a much better goalie, now, but in defence Roberts, currently, looks like he is replacing Shotton. Roberts left foot is just plain awful. He miskicks regularly, including a fumble in the 6 yard box and a miskick in the box to an opponent. If Grounds got up to this all and sundry, including me, would have plenty to say. Читать дальше...
He said the news initially hit him hard but he has since approached life with vigour
I would have thought the amount of players we have been in talks with, enquired about, trialled, bid for etc...you would have thought we could have got somewhere, why are we not getting these players? Why are bids and enquiries and approaches falling flat and were not hearing anymore? 22 players have been linked to us and only 3 of them came.

Terry - Chose Aston Villa - offered contract
Flint - 3 bids rejected - put in bid

Birmingham City's bid to sign Trabzonspor midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has stalled, Sky sources understand, with Harry Redknapp increasingly frustrated over transfers.
Well.....
This morning Spanish HBO accidenaly played next Mondays episode of Game of Thrones, what a sad episode! Ice dragons though!
It got me thinking about a "season 7 storyline leak" on reddit which was then deleted by the poster but not before Dailymail reported it. HBO denied it all and said that it was fake and made up by Reddit users looking for bites, but so far, pretty accurate. Spoilers below, (tu) if its occured, (td) if it hasn't.
