Football and the art of telling lies (7 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

All football clubs have issues, all managers are one-eyed, all those who take money from the game are keen to protect their own interests but the sheer amount of bare-faced lying in football really does my swede in tbh. It's so prevalent that for someone to tell the truth (or at least their version of it) they have to do it anonymously or in 'an explosive tell-all' autobiography written well after they've left the game. I don't really understand how or why fans can remain loyal to a sport that constantly bullshits them.

Bit of a guilty pleasure for me.

I don't have any myself, but I enjoy the "I wuz p***ed and ended up with this" stories.

A 50 year old woman tonight had a flying penis on her bottom, when asked why was it on her bottom, she said because she liked it doggy style. The girly doing the cover up was unable to come up with anything to say.

Fair play to her I thought, would have to really not give a toss about what people think of you to say that on telly.

BCFC: The Cotterill Rumours (70 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Rumours have intensified on Social Media and Blues message boards that Steve Cotterill is close to receiving his marching orders. The Cheltenham-born manager has only been in charge for ten games but with Blues only having won twice and only scoring three goals the knives are out already.

What do they do? (5 replies)

What exactly is the role of manager, coach and trainers. I’ve never really understood this. I have this picture in my mind of a man in a suit behind a desk, a man with a baton pointing at a blackboard with arrows pointing in all directions on it, and a man with a crewcut in a tracksuit making the players run up and down the terraces.

People say Cottrill is a good coach but a rubbish manager.

Is he just snowed under with electricity bills and laundry invoices?

These people who say that, do they back it up with anything?

Don't worry, Jet2 have got your back. I flew in with them last week and they were using their own ground staff from East Mids because they'd had enough of the handling agents at brum.

Lamb shank here. Done in an Asian style. Served on a bed of rice.

Recipe from Nigella.

All praise to her.....

Cup of tea now to wash it all down.

Lovely

Oh no pudding. I'm stuffed

"Fell out of love with football" threads are ten a penny when the Blues aren't doing very well.

The generations following my own will be viewing football from a different perspective and this obsession with it being some sort of moral compass will disappear.
