Re: 4-4-2
I'll cheerfully admit to knowing the square root of feck all, but I've always thought that, with our squad, 4-4-2 is really the way to go.

All we have heard off the last 3 managers is we cannot play 4-4-2, the central midfielders aren't strong enough blah blah blah...well you stick that right where the sun don't shine!!!
How much better did we look today with two up top? The wide men both covered their full backs and it was great to see us play on the front foot!
Watching the highlights again we could easily have been 4 up at half time and all Hull had all game were two crappy shots wide. Great performance and we actually looked solid all over the pitch. Читать дальше...
Why did they give Toral worship applause?
Relief maybe for being 3-0 up?
Hull had a ex Blues player that got promotion and served Blues over many years with success.
Mr Seb Larsson I applaud your service to my Blues team.

I thought in conditions like the first half an orange ball had to be used. I had trouble seeing the flight of the normal yellow ball for large parts of the first 20 minutes of the first half, from the Tilton.
We are still in a terrible position but there are some grounds for optimism again. The defence looked much better, the midfield was robust in wild conditions and we have now scored 5 goals in a week. (Today we could have scored 5 or 6, in fact).
We have a chance. More like today and we could survive.
Juke or Jota. All of ‘em played well though
Got off at Bordseley earlier and my heart sank. I was accidentally wearing my claret jeans (yeah, I know). Honestly thought about going quickly and buying some others. I would have just taken them off but, you know it was snowing - which thankfully distracted everyone. So I sheepishly get to my seat and notice that loads of people wear claret stuff. Two people had completely claret coats nearby me, and the bloke in front had claret gloves ffs! Anyway, if you saw some d1ckhead in villa trousers trying to make his blues scarf as big as possible... Just an observation today, but did anyone else notice that juke didn't go over to Adams after his goal? Morrison had a word with him just before hull were about to restart.
After that I noticed quite a few times in the 2nd half they seemed to be having a go at each other for not playing the other in too.
To be fair, I thought juke was quality today and deserved a goal.
