Default misery (21 replies)
Relegation this, must win game that, apathy here, anger there. I’ve noticed the old patterns creeping back in from the fanbase at an alarming rate.
As far as I can tell, we’ve had…
1. Battling point at Luton, good on paper
2. Excellent win at home to Huddersfield
3. Crap at Cardiff, fair
4. Decent comeback at Norwich
5. Resilient point at home to Watford, cracking result
6. Weird game at home to Wigan; pass ball around their back 9 for 75 minutes, everyone’s frustrated
Should we not allow a few more weeks before we start bringing eachother down, already? It’s been very up and down, tell tale signs of a new manager getting to grips with his squad.
Appreciate the squad is extraordinarily thin, and we lacked of creative spark to get us past those 9 men. But I don’t know, I feel like we’ve shown enough to at least stop me throwing the towel in before august is even up.
Note: this does not reflect my thoughts on the club as a whole, which is for sure an absolute mess.
