Re: Open letter to Gary Rowett
Criticism of his subs and the way he sets up is fine, but I don't know what alternatives we really have? We're toothless up front - but we haven't got players waiting in the wings to come in - we have Scott Effin Hogan as our only other fit striker to Stansfield.
The failure to recruit a physical, strong hold up play striker is costing us massively. Maybe we couldn't afford it or couldn't find anyone who could come in - but that's a huge loss. As was the loss of Kevin Long in February.
We're having to play the ball across the ground because launching it forward is completely utterly pointless if the man up there is Jay Stansfield. Completely against his strengths as a player. So with that in mind, what changes can we/Rowett even make in terms of set-up that could've won the game tonight?
We don't have the players. It's a very imbalanced squad - and despite our financial difficulties, that lies with the recruitment team.
