Re: Craig Gardner
El MayorTHIS!johnthefenceAssembled a squad of gutless bottlers that only yo-yo strugglers Rotherham is inferior to.
Failed miserably to recruit a half decent forward in several windows now.
Let Long go and thrust Aiwu on us.
I wouldn’t trust him to buy a loaf of bread let alone assemble a multi million squad of footballers.
For the sake of your dream Tom, he’s gorra gew!
Frank McParland, Head of Recruitment. Mentioned him before on here. Why doesn’t he get these pelters?
Not to mention the fact that the club had cut back so much that they had to borrow a camera for the media side of things. What was the investment in scouting other than Wyscout and Craig's phone book?
We have had zero room for player investment, have had average players on extortionate wages, only getting older and less influential for the past few years and an already bloated squad. It's ok saying you want another striker, but I imagine part of the reason for keeping Jay is that we play with one striker and he was been given a lot of game time. You are then paying his back up a large salary to go 22 games without a goal. You also have Juke on a salary and Tyler Roberts on a salary for a forward position.
Hindsight is brilliant. Now I would have snapped Luton's hands off for an offer for Ruddy. Wouldn't it have been great of we could have convinced someone that Scott Hogan is a goal machine.
Decisions were obviously made to improve the midfield, because a strong midfield means more chances created and less chances to defend.
It hurts right now, but isn't this the reality of being under-funded for multiple transfer windows?
