Coventry Setup (11 replies)

I know this is a touchy subject and fans shouldnt be picking the team at all, but from what we have seen of late, how would you try and setup for Coventry?

Would it be so bad to have Hogan up top with Stansfield? The more pressure we can apply up front, the less defensive work we have to rely on attempting to carry out.

Would it be so bad as to put Bielik back to CH with dropping Aiwu, so we can attempt to play out the back higher up and with some more penetration?

Would we see an extreme option of utilising any of the pacey players from the 21s, albeit Rowett openly doesnt trust this approach. In that case, Dembele, for all of his faults, DOES stretch teams and drag people out to him. Why not give him a licence to stay on the shoulder of the last man down the channels and give him less of a defensive mandate? Sometimes our defensive duties does detract from our attacking intent.

Why was Laird seemingly throttled down the flanks, we had little width last night but plenty of opportunity to run the channels, we chose not to. Was this instructed or the player mentality kicking in.

Weak and scared, majority of those on the pitch, with a few exceptions, there is a time to be brave now. Professional footballers, time to stand up.
