Now the dust has settled

Since Fridays first game and getting a look at how Davies will approach this season and a first look at the new signings in competitive action are you more excited or feeling the same as you was before the ball was kicked.

For me I am feeling even more excited, firstly I am majorly impressed how Davies deployed Stansfield and Kyogo together to get on the front foot. It was a risky tactic against a newly relegated team but I think he out thought McKenna on this occasion.

Secondly how we still looked to control possession and be brave by playing our way out, I really liked on a few occasions especially on Anderson’s side we played the ball up the line and he played it inside to one of the midfielders who were free because they had squeezed over to that side of the pitch.

Lastly I think every new signing looked to have improved us, the quietest out of them all was Gray but I still felt like he showed touches of class at times.

I have even higher expectations than I did after seeing us play. Although I did think we probably caught Ipswitch off guard with how aggressive we was so now teams will be more aware, I have no doubt that Davies has many more variations as we seen last season.
