Where’s the high press that Stanno, May and Anderson used to provide to stop the opposition at source. We’re badly missing the potential of the goal threat that May and Anderson used to provide too.
Paik and Iwata together have regressed into defensive midfielders and just rotating the ball and keeping possession appear to be their only aim, neither carry any goal threat at all now.
Klarer and Davis looked a more convincing partnership than Klarer and Neuman. Klarer has completely stopped carrying the ball forward to create numerical advantage in the centre and final thirds.
Allsopps accurate long raking balls have stopped as he appears to have no target to find.
As l said, early days and better opposition but TW will need to see better than this.
