I’m interest in this as a mate bought me a subscription for County Cricket Magazine which claimed there were about quarter of a million following County cricket scores on line on the final day last year. I don’t know how they verified that (if they did).

I thought I’d look up some figures about County cricket in particular. A couple of interesting articles

Somerset said they were getting around 250,000 per match. I was surprised by these figures, but I don’t think the game is quite as moribund as is reflected in the attendance at County matches - it was poor back in the 60’s when I first went.

Just interesting to reflect on the numbers.
