Do we have a problem with discipline on and off the pitch.

Football is a passionate game but the team and management need to rapidly get a grip of what’s happening to us.

Set the Robinson sending off aside, that’s his individual problem, the mass brawl following the horrendous tackle on Roberts suggests we do have a problem. Stansfield was lucky not to be sent off and no matter what the provocation we need to be more disciplined. Klarer needs to lead on this on the pitch and Davies off it.

Even the response by the players to the awarding of a goal kick instead of a corner prior to Robinson’s departure tells us something. Yes be passionate but haranguing the Ref like that was ill disciplined in my view.

I fear Davies might be setting the wrong tone.

The fine for the incident yesterday will be a big blow but more than that the impact on the club’s reputation will be even more significant.

Davies has to get a grip quickly before there’s a knock on his office door!
