That part of the ground all of a sudden has become a proper p in the a on a number of fronts.

(A) - Trying to get into the ground is or has turned into something akin to queuing for the toilets at Glastonbury, the fellas with scanners take far too long & anything you may be carrying ‘untoward’ is looked upon with suspicion even though it could be your phone, mecication or your car keys!
I know they’ve put some temporary railings along the wall to try & manage this ‘pinch point’, be good to hear how it went yesterday (For the record I got frisked by the fan zone by the Main Stand, which meant I didn’t have to go through all of the above as they (finally) opened up the gate between the turnstiles of the GML & the Main Stand!! Praise be!

(B) - They may have ‘tarted up’ the more ‘showy’ parts of the stand , but, the bowels of the GML are not good, dimly lit, the stairs going up to the main bar area are in a very poor state, chipped, cracked & in dire need of the edge of the steps being given a lick of paint to depict where the actual edge of the steps are. On too many occasions I’ve seen people have a ‘Cor Blimey Guv’ moment going down the stairs & just about managing to stay upright. The debris & mess that is under that first stairwell also is not the most welcoming sight. Without putting too fine a point on it, it has been said that, the GML concourse is getting to be on a par now with that away stand upstairs at QPR! Harsh some may say, but, I understand the sentiment.

(C) - They much spoken about ‘water supply’ to that part of the ground, I understand the exasperation around this most thorny of issues, but, having been a STH in this part of the ground for a number of seasons now, this issue was NOT an issue when the stand was more ‘moderately populated’ it just wasn’t, I know it hacks people off & it’s all about public health & well being, I get that, but, it does appear to have become a more serious concern since the onset of more & more people being in that part of the ground. It’s a problem alright & the club need to address it - & sharpish with an England U21 international on the horizon.

(D) - Getting out of the GML, with the placing of the new barriers yesterday, I am assuming it went okay for getting people into the ground, but, I thought they proved a major hampering obstacle for people leaving the ground & turning left to go down the hill, surely they could have been moved away to allow people to get away a little easier?

(E) - Thank goodness they seemed to have stopped people parking outside the gate & on the railway bridge! All we need now is some better lighting outside the ground after a night game!

(F) - Finally, thanks to the lady driving the bus back into town after the game yesterday, she knows how to handle a double decker & get around the nonsense that is the Selfridges car park. ????????????????

Exactly this. I’ve even had my inhaler checked and I had to take it apart so they could check there was nothing else inside it. Not sure where they recruit the security/catering staff from but there must be a village somewhere missing its idiots!

I couldn’t believe it. Young lad. Must have been first day on the job. Asked me to open it up so he could check it!! Probably thought it was pepper spray or something! ????
